I was thinking about the vast amount of horse franchises there are. I mean, certain animals have a special charm in order to appear on series, merchandise, novels, movies, etc. For some reason they are more appealing amid the fans, furry-obsessed or not.
Horses and ponies are obviously one of those lucky species; the same with canines, bears and felines. Maybe people instantly think they are cute, or admire them...hmm...
Anyway i never really liked Rainbow Brite. She was cool and used those rainbow boots i secretly envied but the reason i watched the show was mainly Starlite, her horse. He had the same colorful grace of a My Little Pony but with a mature, older, handsome look (not to mention he was male, that is rare enough) So i couldn't help squeeking when finding this on ebay. He is sooo perfect! revamped, elongated, thinner than the original design. Reminds me of a Fashion Fillie or a MLP Dream beauty but is entirely him, "The magnificent Starlite" *q*. Oddly enough i found Rainbow Brite today on a local store. She was the size of a MyScene, and had a quite cool outfit...but bleh, forget about the heroine, get the ride!
